LUMA World Pass

LUMA World Pass covers emergency medical expenses, evacuation and repatriation, personal accident, baggage, trip cancellation, and more worldwide, depending on the plan you choose. Pre-existing conditions and war-related events are not covered. See the Table of Benefits and Policy Wording for full details.

LUMA World Pass covers single or multiple trips up to a maximum of 180 consecutive calendar days. You can extend your policy while already at your destination without the need to exit and re-enter the country to reactivate coverage. Simply request your extension before your current policy expires and your coverage continues uninterrupted.

Please note that extensions are subject to a 180-day combined maximum, and the second policy covers only new events occurring after its start date. Any condition, incident, or claim from your first policy period (including anything previously covered) will not carry over.

Yes. The policy is designed with a multi-trip coverage and is ideal for trips covering several countries and last minute trips within Asia.

Applicants must be between 4 weeks and 75 years old at the time of purchase. Children under 7 must be accompanied by an insured adult.

No. LUMA World Pass does not cover pre-existing medical conditions or any condition that arose before your policy start date.

LUMA World Pass covers sudden and unforeseen illness. COVID-19 may be covered if it was not a known or anticipated risk at the time of purchase. For example, if no active travel advisory was in place. Coverage depends on the specific circumstances. Direct billing is available when medical expenses are expected to exceed USD 1,000 and the arrangement is pre-authorised by LUMA. For smaller expenses, you will need to pay upfront and submit a reimbursement claim.

Key exclusions include pre-existing conditions, pregnancy, mental health conditions, dental treatment (unless resulting from accidental injury), alcohol- or drug-related incidents, hazardous and extreme sports, manual labour, and war or terrorism. Submit a request via the "Change my policy" form on lumatravel.com or contact our Customer Service Team. Changes must be requested before your policy start date. Please note that policies cannot be cancelled and premiums are non-refundable once the policy has been issued.

Certain details on your Certificate of Insurance (such as a name correction or destination update) may be amended before your trip starts. Submit your request using the "Change my policy" form on lumatravel.com or contact our Customer Service Team. Our team will confirm whether the change is possible and advise on any difference in premium.

LUMA World Pass covers baggage (your personal belongings) but not the luggage container itself (e.g. your suitcase or trunk). Damage to, or loss of, the bag itself is not covered. Refer to the Table of Benefits and Policy Wording for full details.

Laptop coverage depends on the plan selected. Mobile phones, tablets, and other portable electronics are not covered. Refer to the Table of Benefits and Policy Wording to confirm what applies to your chosen plan.
