Our service is built on medical expertise. Medipro, our in-house team of medical professionals, provides practical medical guidance, from hospital referrals to second opinions, based on the urgency and severity of each case.
Today, LUMA Travel provides high-cover emergency medical protection for travellers, backed by on-ground teams in Bangkok, Ho Chi Minh City, Phnom Penh, and Yangon who know these destinations closely.

Our Story
Headquartered in France, LUMA Travel grew out of LUMA Health, the health insurance specialist founded in Bangkok in 2012 by Paul-Dominique and Vic.
For years, LUMA Health focused on long-term health insurance across Southeast Asia. But clients kept asking for the same level of professional care on shorter trips, including cover for trip cancellations, baggage loss, travel delays, and emergency evacuations.
That gap is what LUMA Travel was built to fill.
In 2020, when COVID turned international travel into chaos, LUMA launched its travel insurance solutions. Borders closed, entry requirements changed quickly, and travellers needed clear answers. LUMA helped with same-day policies, changing requirements, and human support when travel felt uncertain.
When other travel insurers pulled back from Asia, LUMA leaned in.
