No, coverage must start before your trip begins. It has to be purchased before departure for full protection.
Are motorbike accidents in Thailand covered?
Yes, LUMA Travel Insurance includes coverage for motorbike accidents, whether you’re riding it or as a passenger.
Is COVID-19 covered?
Yes, COVID-19 hospitalization is covered, subject to policy terms and limits.
What’s the maximum trip duration covered?
Will I have to pay out of pocket for medical treatment?
For most treatments, you’ll need to pay upfront and submit your claim for reimbursement.
For larger bills over USD 1,000, we can arrange assistance and direct billing with the hospital whenever possible, subject to prior review and approval.
Can I get a refund if I cancel my trip before it starts?
Yes. If your policy hasn’t started yet and no claims have been made, you’re eligible for a full refund. Once the policy has begun, however, refunds are no longer possible.
How can I submit a claim?
Please refer to the confirmation email you received after purchasing your policy. It includes detailed instructions on how and where to submit your claim, along with the required claims form and a list of supporting documents you’ll need to provide.
