The leading tertiary care centres in Bangkok have undoubtedly high standards of medical practice and are considered suitable for serious medical or surgical conditions. Even though the standard of medical practice in other major cities may be found acceptable by international standards, serious medical illnesses or injuries are often evacuated to major medical centres in Bangkok.

Bangkok Hospital is a 500-bed, JCI-accredited, private tertiary care hospital, located on New Petchaburi Road in Bangkok. It provides multidisciplinary departments that include practically all medicine and surgery services, including orthopaedics, cardiac surgery and neurosurgery. Paediatric, dermatology, ENT, ophthalmology, obstetrics & gynaecology, and comprehensive cancer treatment in a dedicated building are also available.
